New construction

The new facilities will be constructed in the open space situated on the north side of the gym building.  Using this space will allow us to continue to operate in our current facilities without interruption until the new building is complete.  Once the new building is in place, most of our existing modular buildings will be sold to make space for future athletic fields.

At present, the specifications and plans for the new building are in the final stages of review by the USDA.   Once approved, they will be ready to release for bid.  In addition, the architect and engineers are in the process of applying for the necessary permits; some of which have already been issued.  If all goes according to plan, we should be able to break ground in very early 2016.

The project will be financed through the combination of a long term, low interest loan from the USDA as well as a short term, no interest loan from Tideland Electric Membership Corporation.  The completion of this project will allow Arapahoe Charter School to operate in a modern, updated facility for many years to come.

We look forward to announcing a groundbreaking ceremony in the near future.  For additional information on the project, please contact Chris Watson in the school business office.
